Fantastic fitness fundraiser

Fitness fans in Aberporth are being asked to get active and raise money for local charity.

Neil Fulstow of West Wales Fitness has asked his members to do one fitness challenge in February and donate £10 to Aberporth Community Fridge and the Dillad Dwywaith recycled clothes rail.

The fitness sessions are held in Canolfan Dyffryn where the fridge and clothes rail are situated.

“These two projects provide such an important service for local people at a time when many families, elderly and locals are really struggling to meet the basic needs of having enough food to eat and clothes to wear,” said Neil.

“If you have seen first hand like me the hard work and hours of free services the volunteers give to help local people out then you will hopefully agree that the least we can do is support these worthy cause to enable them to continue such great work.”

Community fridge co-ordinator Nicola King said it was a fantastic gesture.

“The fridge has been running for four months and we have saved nearly a ton and a half of food from going to landfill. We’re here for everybody and thanks to our fantastic volunteers open five mornings a week.”

The fridge is part of the Aberporth Village Hall Heart of the Community project which is raising funds to rebuild the village hall.
